Arrow Out rules & mechanics

Arrow Out is an unlimited removal puzzle. Every coloured line has an arrow at its head. The arrow tells you which direction that entire line wants to leave the board.

The rule

Tap an arrow. If no other line occupies any cell between that arrow head and the edge of the board, the complete line escapes. If something blocks that direction, the arrow stays and you lose one life.

Removal order

A line that is blocked now may become removable after another line escapes. If you already tapped that blocked line, the game remembers it and automatically removes it the moment its path becomes clear.

Scoring

Every cleared level adds score. No-life-loss clears earn a Perfect bonus. Your highest unlocked level is the primary leaderboard measure.

Unlimited levels

Each level is deterministic and generated from its level number. Boards are built in a guaranteed removal order and independently solver-verified before play.

How to play Arrow Out

Arrow Out is an unlimited directional removal puzzle where every arrow-line can leave only when its indicated path to the edge is clear. Play instantly in your browser—no download is required.

Objective & controls

Tap any part of an arrow-line. If no other line blocks the arrow head's route to the edge, the entire line escapes; a blocked attempt costs a life.

How scoring works

Cleared levels build score, perfect clears earn a bonus and highest unlocked level is the primary progression measure.

Strategy

Look outward from each arrow head before tapping. Remove open exits first, then reassess dependencies. A wrongly tapped blocked line is remembered and escapes automatically when its route clears.

How difficulty grows

Levels are generated from their level number and solver-verified; higher levels create denser dependency chains while preserving a valid removal order

Improving at Arrow Out

The useful way to improve is to understand what the game is measuring. In Arrow Out, the important pressure comes from Levels are generated from their level number and solver-verified; higher levels create denser dependency chains while preserving a valid removal order. That means repeat runs are not only attempts at a better number: they are opportunities to recognize the decisions that create that number. Use the strategy above as a starting point, then compare your own runs and identify where time, accuracy, moves or survival are being lost.

Small Games keeps the rules visible because a leaderboard is only useful when players understand what is being compared. Read how scoring and verified results work, browse the complete Game Guides, or learn how Small Games is designed.
